First International Seminar about Resorts

Being able to support the Brazilian Tourism is one of BSH's goals. One way to do that was creating the First International Seminar about Resorts which occurred on 2nd and 3rd of December 1997 in the facilities of Hotel Renaissance São Paulo. The event was supported by the federal government, through the main northeastern Brazilian developers, SUDENE - Superintendência de Desenvolvimento do Nordeste and the BNB - Banco do Nordeste of Brazil and the State of Pernambuco. Associations as SECOVI, SINDUSCON and FIABCI / BRAZIL also supported the event. The ACSP - Associação Comercial de São Paulo played an important role with the presence of its president, Mr. Élvio Aliprandi.

The event exceeded public expectations and results. BSH and ACSP expected 180 participants, however, there was more than 250 people, with about 50 of them from abroad, mostly from the US, France, Germany, Chile, Argentina, Portugal and Saudi Arabia.
